By understanding the social and ecological memories of the site, the project proposes the transformation of a residential suburb into a new public space for the city. The project reverses the hard infrastructure that drains the area by creating new soft drainage strategies that allow the water to remain in the new public space. The creation of these new pockets of high ecological function become the spaces where the social memory of the site becomes alive with the creation of memorializing objects that remember the titanic labor that constructed the interoceanic canal.
